Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 June 2026

Draft for review. This is a starting template. Have it reviewed by an Australian lawyer and replace the [bracketed] placeholders before publishing.

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of Ledger Pilot (ledgerpilot.com.au), operated by [legal entity name, ABN](“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

2. The service

Ledger Pilot converts PDF bank statements into Excel, CSV, Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks-compatible files. The service is provided on a subscription basis with a free tier and paid plans.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your login secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and authorised to upload any statement you submit.

4. Accuracy — important

Extraction is automated and may contain errors, omissions, or misclassifications. You must review and verify the output before relying on it for bookkeeping, BAS, tax, or any other purpose. Ledger Pilot is a data-conversion tool and does not provide financial, accounting, or tax advice.

5. Billing & cancellation

  • Paid plans bill monthly in advance in AUD via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You can cancel anytime from your dashboard (Manage billing). Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. See “Your consumer rights” below.
  • [State your refund policy, e.g. pro-rata or 14-day, if any.]

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the service unlawfully, upload statements you are not authorised to process, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or resell it without our written consent.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including as to accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability for breach of such a guarantee can be limited, it is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of re-supply.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction.
